Short Layer — Before Permission

Why do we request your location?

Your location is used to find events near you, sort events by distance, show the starting point on a map and calculate information such as “approximately 2.4 km away.” Location-based event discovery is a core feature of the current version. If you do not allow location while using the app, event discovery will not work.

Background location is separate and optional. If enabled, your location may be obtained continuously while the app is closed or in the background. You can disable this choice at any time.

Detailed Layer

1. Data controller

2. Data processed

Approximate or precise coordinates, accuracy value, date and time, user and device identifiers, IP/session information, event starting point, calculated distance and—if background permission is enabled—location history may be processed.

3. Purpose and legal basis

Location while using the app is processed under KVKK Article 5/2(c) to provide event discovery, distance sorting and map features. Background location is processed only on the basis of separate and revocable explicit consent.

4. Continuity and retention

If background permission is enabled, location may be obtained continuously while the app is closed or in the background. Raw and background location history is retained for no more than 30 days, then deleted or anonymized. Records preserved due to a security incident or legal dispute are handled separately.

5. Sharing

Location data may be shared with map, cloud, database and technical infrastructure providers and processed in Türkiye, France, Germany, Poland and other infrastructure countries of the relevant provider under safeguards compliant with KVKK Article 9. Your precise and historical location is not shown to other users. An event starting point you select may be shown according to the event’s visibility.

6. Choices

You may disable background location in the app or device settings and withdraw your consent. Where supported by the operating system, you may change the precise/approximate location choice in device settings.
